INVESTORS CAN RECEIVE BULGARIAN PERMANENT RESIDENCY BY ADHERING TO THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE:

The whole process of obtaining permanent residency for the main applicant is 4 months. There is a requirement for one visit to Bulgaria during the entire application process.

  • Register a company solely, or as minimum as 50% owned by the investor;
  • Transfer from his/her personal account to the company’s bank account the amount of minimum EUR 250,000;
  • With the received amount, the company purchase tangible or intangible assets, which are listed in the company’s accounting books. The purchased assets can be real estate, a car, or any other asset which can be used for the working process of the company. If it is a car, equipment or spare parts, they have to be brand new;
  • Once the purchase is made, the Ministry of economy issues an Investor certificate;
  • With the Investor certificate, the investor applies for visa D;
  • Once the visa D is approved, the investor has to travel to Bulgaria and apply for permanent residency;
  • The permanent residency is granted for 5 years;
  • Once the permanent residency is approved, the investor can apply for family reunification and his/her spouse and children under 18 years of age can also receive permanent residency.
  • After 5 years of PR, the investor and his/her family can apply for Bulgarian citizenship.

BULGARIAN EU BLUE CARD WORK AND RESIDENCY PERMIT

1. Gathering of the documents

Prior to starting the application process, the applicant will be required to gather the following documents:

IMPORTANT: All documents (except the medical insurance) which are not issued by the Russian federation or Ukraine have to be with Apostille.

Once the aforementioned documents are collected they have to be sent to Global Citizen to begin processing the client

  • A notarized copy of the university diploma
  • The candidate should have a university degree of minimum 3 years of continuous education.
  • A notarized copy of the supplement to the diploma, showing the period and subjects;
  • An original certificate of the clear criminal record;

2. Application for work permit

Upon receiving the documents from the applicant, Global Citizen translates and legalize them in Bulgarian and prepares the following additional documentation:

Once all of the documents are prepared, VIP Residency files the application for work at the Migration department.

  • International medical insurance for 5 years.
  • Address declaration for providing residential address to the applicant;
  • Labour contract for employment of the applicant in a Bulgarian company;
  • Declarations and certificates of the employing company which are required by the Employment agency;

3. Approval of the work permit and application for visa D

The approval of the work permit will take approximately 30 days. Once received, the applicant will have 20 days to submit his/her application for visa D at the Bulgarian consulate. Global Citizen will book appropriate timings for visiting the consulate. The required documents are:

  • A filled application form;
  • A copy of the work permit;
  • A copy of the medical insurance;
  • A copy of the address declaration.

4. Submission of application for residency

The approval of the visa D takes around 14-20 days. Once the visa D is received, the applicant has 20 days to travel to Bulgaria to apply for his/her residency. Global Citizen staff will accompany the applicant to the Migration office for the submission of the application. The required documents are:

  • The international passport of the applicant;
  • Photocopy of the passport’s picture and visa page

5. Submission of the application for residency card and family reunification

Once the residency is approved, the applicant can apply for his/her residency ID card. Migration department provides 3 types of services for issuing the card:

  • Express service – 3 working days
  • Fast service – 7 working days
  • Regular service – 30 working days

With the application for residency card, the applicant files the application for family reunification for his/her spouse and children under 18 years of age. The required documents which have to be provided by the applicant are:

  • A notarized copy of the marriage certificate;
  • A notarized copy of the birth certificate of the children;
  • An original of the clear criminal certificate of the spouse;

IMPORTANT: All documents (except the medical insurance) which are not issued by the Russian federation or Ukraine have to be with Apostle. Once the above documents are received, Global Citizen translates and legalizes them in Bulgarian and additionally provided the following:

  • International medical insurance for each family member for 5 years;
  • Declaration of support signed by the main applicant for each family member;
  • Address declaration for each family member

Once the approval for family reunification is granted, the family members go through the same procedure for visa D application followed by residency application in Bulgaria, as described above in p.3 and p.4.
