PROGRAM OVERVIEW
OBTAINING THE GOLDEN VISA IS CONTINGENT UPON THE CHOOSING FROM THE FOLLOWING THREE OPTIONS:
The client has 3 months following the approval of their residency permit to choose one of the three options to secure their 10 year residency permit
Option 1
Investment of 250,000 EUR into a Real Estate Fund registered by the National Bank of Hungary.
Option 2
Acquisition of a Residential Real Estate Property in Hungary with a minimum value of 500,000 EUR registered in the land registry under a cadastral number free of claims, litigation and encumbrances. (Available from January 2025)
Option 3
A donation of 1,000,000 EUR to a higher education institution maintained by a public asset management foundation with a public mission in support of scientific research, education or the arts.

INVESTMENT TYPE & COSTS
Investors can obtain the Hungarian Residency Permit by either investing into Hungarian Real Estate Fund or purchasing Residential Real Estate. Investors must prove that they have sufficient funds in their account to cover the real estate purchase and the minimum amount required to sustain a living for them and their family.
GOVERNMENT FEES:
In addition to the investment a government processing fee is payable upon completion of the residency permit
In addition to the investment, the client must pay 70,000 EUR in government fees to secure their application. This fee entails all processing, application and legal fees to support the application.
For children under the age
of 18, there is no additional
fee to pay, thus the 70,000 EUR incorporates the spouse and children under 18 of the main applicant.
For children over the age of 18,
and parents of either the main application or the spouse there is an additional fee of 10,000 EUR
per applicant.

Personal Identification and Family Documentation
- Full Passport Copy including outer cover (from all applicants)
- True Copy of Birth Certificate with Apostille (from all applicants)
- True Copy of Marriage Certificate with Apostille (from Spouse)
Applicant Information
- Signed and Dated Curriculum Vitae (to be signed by father or mother in case of applicants under 18; from all applicants)
- Filled and signed Data Sheet (from all applicants)
- Filled Booking Form (from all applicants)
Financial Documentation
- Bank Savings Certificate from main applicant
- Detailed bank statement covering the last 6 months’ transactions (signed and stamped by relevant bank official, issued in English language, from Main Applicant only)
Photographs and Criminal Record
- Two Passport-size photos: dimensions 45mm x 35mm
- Original Police Clearance Certificate with Apostille - from the country of habitual residence of the last six months (from Main Applicant and Spouse)
TIMELINE:
Processing Time is 21 days following the submission of all necessary documentation
Week 1:
Client signs Client Facilitator Agreement (CFA) and fills out Data Sheet issued by Global Citizen
Week 2:
Client submits all required documentation (as stated on previous page) for all desired applicants within their family
Global Citizen submits all applicant details to the relevant authorities for pre-approval of their residency
Week 3:
Client Proceeds with Payment of Government Fees of 70,000 EUR which is held in an escrow account subject to a succesful application
Week 4:
Client visits the local Hungarian Embassy or arrives to Budapest to complete biometrics
All documents and biometrics submitted to the relevant authorities for issuance of the residency card
Client must have the ownership certificate of the Real Estate Fund Investment or Residential Real Estate Purchase within 3 months of submitting their application
Week 8-10:
Approval of the residency is granted 21 days after submission of documents and biometrics
Residency Card is issued 10 days later which Global Citizen will courier to the client
Week 12-16:
Property Purchase or Real Estate Fund Investment to be completed within 3 months of card issuance date for the residency to be valid
